This is a reference on sending groceries and barrels to the Caribbean. It is operated by ShippoHippo, which runs a grocery shipping service on the same route.

Why say that up front

Because you would want to know. A guide written by someone who sells the thing it describes ought to be read a little more carefully, and burying that would be the worse option by some distance. The test we hold these pages to is simple: a fact stated here should still be true for someone who never uses ShippoHippo at all. Where something is a judgment rather than a fact, it is labeled as one.

How we decide what to publish

• Figures get sourced or left out. There is no cost table here yet because the customs figures could not be confirmed against the official source. A number nobody can check is worse than an honest gap.
• Other shippers get named where they are the right answer.
• Nothing is sold here. There is no cart, no account and no checkout on this site. Where a page links to ShippoHippo, it is marked as what it is: the operator of this site, offering the service the page describes.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, or was right and has quietly stopped being right, we would rather hear it. Most of what these pages describe is set by customs authorities and shipping lines, and none of them send a notice when it changes.
